Russell Simmons Apologizes For Calling Courtney Love A Crackhead

This industry is tough enough. No need to turn on your own kind.

itunes extends song previews from 30 to 90 seconds

How frustrating is it trying to find a song you're unsure of with only 30 seconds to go on?

It WAS very frustrating, but it won't be anymore, because Apple has decided to triple song preview lengths on iTunes from 30 to 90 seconds!

As long as the song isn't less than 2 minutes and 30 seconds, you'll now have 90 seconds to decide if a song is worth purchasing or not.

Here's a statement by Apple from a letter they sent to labels:

"We are pleased to let you know that we are preparing to increase the length of music previews from 30 seconds to 90 seconds on the iTunes Store in the United States. We believe that giving potential customers more time to listen to your music will lead to more purchases."

We agree! Sometimes you THINK you found the right song, but if the preview starts at the wrong place, you may never get to the chorus to find out.

We're glad to hear we'll never have to worry about that again!

Awesome move, Apple! We're impressed and excited for longer song previews!

What do U think of Apple's decision? Will longer song previews affect your decision to purchase songs from iTunes?
