Last night, President Barack Obama came to West Hollywood, CA to raise some funds for this 2012 Presidential Reelection Campaign and a bunch of folks paid out a LOT of dough to get up close and personal with him. Among those people, obvs, were celebrities … and among those celebs was our very own David Beckham. Becks knew that traffic would be insane (due to all the extra security required for a presidential visit) so he did the smart thing and drove to the event on his motorcycle. He looked all cute and stuff in his little cardigan and tie. Check out the photos below.

I love it when Becks gets all “badass” with his motorcycle … but I think I like it even more when he looks all suburban preppie and on his motorcycle ;) Go, Becks, Go!

Analog Music Just for Oldies?

I have always loved Epiphone guitars. For me, they have always epitomised cool tunes and even cooler players. One of my first recollections of a seeing a song performed on the TV was the Beatles at Shea Stadium, their last ever live gig (unless you include the top of the Apple building in London, where Lennon also played an Epiphone Casino) where John and George both played these iconic instruments. I didn't realise that they were, in fact, the same guitar but the 1969 version having the sunburst finish removed.

Often they had played country before turning to rockabilly, but in virtually all cases, they grew up with country music (along with blues, R&B, and gospel music) all around them. It's also not surprising then that many of the early rockabilly songs found their way up toward the top of both the pop and country charts.

Last night David and I were invited by our dear friend Tamar’s parents to attend a casual dinner party engagement celebration at their home and we had the best time getting to celebrate Tam and Rob’s wedding engagement with both of their families. The whole evening was very laid back, but very very fun. We ate the best food, drank the best drinks and just had a blast hanging out together.

Ollie concocted 2 signature drinks inspired by Rob and Tam, Eileen brought THE most delicious cupcakes and we brought the champagne. Tam’s mom provided some delicious eats — I mean, THE best food. We got to meet Rob’s mom for the first time along with some of his best childhood friends. It was such a special night. It was very nice of Tam and Rob to include us in their special night. We just love those two so much :)

Today, lazy Sunday. I’m not doing ANYTHING. Nothing. Nada. Hope your Sunday is just as relaxing ;D

Longtime Pepsi celebrity spokesmodel David Beckham teamed up with Modern Family star Sofia Vergara here in SoCal earlier today to film a Pepsi commercial together. Becks and Sofia were spotted on the commercial set on a beach in Santa Monica, CA paling around in between takes. Sofia looked really comfortable lounging on her beach chair while Becks looked dashingly handsome just standing around with his ball in his hand looking hot.

I honestly LOVE Becks as a spokesmodel because if he’s selling something, I’m buying. While I am a diehard Coca Cola fan and would never abandon my pop of choice for any other brand, I think I might be cajoled into drinking a bottle or two of Pepsi every now and then on Becks‘s suggestion. I hope there is a little more action in this commercial … perhaps involving Becks removing that very nice white shirt. HMMMM. I can’t wait to see how it all turns out :)

I used to LOVE playing in the street in front of my house. My friends and I would play Kick the Can, Freeze Tag and Street Hockey … but we were much older.
