True, most of us modern fans might not be old enough to have heard or appreciated the music when it was first recorded in the mid to late 1950s by people like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran and other great acts. But anyone old enough to remember when the Stray Cats hit the scene in the early 1980s is old enough to have cashed in on the bulk of the rockabilly revival that followed. You might call these fans and musicians (and this is the group I fall into) second-generation rockabilly cats. We are the children of the kids who were rocking out to this music when it was invented in the middle of the last century.
