rent-returns-to-off-broadway.jpg

Woo hoo!!

We knew it just couldn't stay away!!

Yes, Rent is returning to off-Broadway in 2011 and will be given a whole new production, complete with a different set and a whole new cast. "We love the original cast, but they're all on Social Security now," jokes a production source.

The original Broadway production cost $3.5 million and grossed nearly $300 million. The off-Broadway version will cost $1.5 million.

Original producer, Allan S. Gordon was inspired to revive the show after he attended a concert version at the Hollywood Bowl last summer. "The truth is, it really is timeless," he says. "It still works."

We agree! Now a whole new generation can experience Seasons of Love!!

Would U see the newly-revived Rent???

quaid-brothers-randy-accuses-dennis-of-hit-on-himself.jpg

If this guy put his imagination to good use, he'd of won the Pulitzer Prize by now.

In a new interview, Randy Quaid continues to attempt to deflect his own obvious insanity by dragging his brother Dennis Quaid's good name through the mud. His latest accusation is that Dennis took "a hit" out on himself around the time his baby twins fought to stay alive due to an accidental overdose!

Whoa! Tell us Randy, did he employ one of these "star whackers" you keep going on about?

This guy's a quack! When are we going to get him deported back over here so he can be thrown in prison?

On second thought, perhaps he should stay in Canada for a bit longer.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Randy also told the reporter that he wasn't "crazy…I'm an actor."

Yep, an actor…who be acting CRAZY!

A Homemade Xylophone You Can Be Proud Of!

What is handed down from one generation to the other comes with its insinuations be it positive or negative. Many negative myths about the acoustic guitar without exception have been carried down to this present moment for which I strongly feel demystifying or exposing them. I feel much disturbed anytime I come across any of them. I know you will feel the same way after knowing the few that I will mention here, and by this reason help me to further expose them to our valued readers.

Why You Should Participate in a Songwriting Contest?

Most of us or our children can show the signs of knack for music even at a very young age. Some individuals can play three to five musical instruments very well. And this is a very unique talent. Maybe, learning and studying how to perfect the several traditional Indian instruments could nurture more our musical gift.

Concert Review: Rehab at the Blue Note 11/01/10

Good posture is important for your body, but is particularly important for singing. If your posture is poor, you won't be able to breathe properly. If you are sitting slumped in a chair, or standing in a rigid way, then your diaphragm will be squashed or stretched, and you won't be able to breathe properly.

Louis Armstrong: Transformation From Reform School to Infamous Trumpets

From her work in the 80's with MTV favorite Til Tuesday through her acclaimed solo discs "Whatever" and "I'm With Stupid" in the 90s, Aimee Mann has always been at the forefront of contemporary songwriters. The close of the millennium brought her greatest success, with the simultaneous releases of Bachelor No. 2 and the soundtrack to the film Magnolia, which garnered nominations for an Oscar, a Golden Globe and three Grammys. After a decade in which her music often took a backseat to corporate mergers and contractual obligations, the message was clear: Aimee Mann is here to stay.

Gretsch Guitars Their Early History

That little sign at the beginning of your music is most likely some sort of clef sign. Which one is it? Well, we have two clef signs that are mainly in use today. They are the treble clef and the bass clef. Their job is to indicate the names of the notes on the music staff. I am guessing that what you are seeing is probably one of those.

keith olbermann back at msnbc after suspension

Although he was suspended for donating to Democratic candidates, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann will return to his show Countdown on Tuesday.

Phil Griffin, president of MSNBC, said:

After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night's program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.

And it was probably his supporters that prompted the comeback. Olbermann received more than 280,000 signatures on a petition asking for his return.

We're glad he's back, but hope he learned his lesson.

Damn! Standing ovation to the team the dirtied up her pretty mug! It took some convincing to get us to believe that was even really her!

This week, Vanessa Hudgens began filming her new movie, Gimmie Shelter, in which she plays a young homeless person. The transformation from Hollywood babe to hobo is pretty jarring, but watching her eat out of dumpster in Newark, NJ yesterday was just as much so!

Don't know what the hell it is she's supposed to be eating, but she doesn't seem to be enjoying it! Bleck!

Considering that she's probably holding a $4 cookie or something, all we have to say is .... good acting, V-Hudge!
